Budget > Controlling Discretionary Spending
Some sports create a major drag on your budget because the
equipment or “court time” that they require is very expensive. A good temporary
substitute may be a sport that is relatively inexpensive but equally enjoyable.
Many outdoor activities are relatively cost free. YMCA’s or YWCA’s are much
more affordable than private health clubs. Other possible alternatives are
community pools and involvement in recreation department activities.
